To compete in an ARA rally, you must:

• Hold a valid ARA competition license

• Register through the official event entry system

• Submit required documentation (license, vehicle logbook)

• Pay the published entry fee before the deadline

All ARA competition vehicles must meet minimum safety requirements, including:

• FIA or ARA‑approved roll cage

• Fixed‑back rally seats

• Approved multi‑point harnesses

• On‑board fire extinguisher system

• Current helmets and protective gear

Vehicles are inspected during technical inspection (scrutineering) prior to competition.

ARA events feature multiple classes, including:

• Open 4WD

• RC2

• Limited 4WD

• Naturally Aspirated 4WD

• Open 2WD

• Limited 2WD

Each class follows ARA’s technical regulations to ensure fair and competitive racing.

Scrutineering is the mandatory technical inspection where officials verify that your vehicle complies with ARA safety and class regulations. Cars that do not pass inspection must be fixed before they are allowed to start the rally.

Recce (reconnaissance) allows crews to legally drive rally stages at controlled speeds before competition to create pace notes. Recce is permitted at LSPR, rules and schedules are detailed in Supplemental Regulations and competitor communications.
