Media

Media credentials are available to journalists, photographers, and content creators covering the event. Credentials for all ARA events are managed by the American Rally Association.  To learn more about credentials or to register, go to https://www.americanrallyassociation.org/media

Yes. Accredited media may access areas on stage other than official spectator locations, start lines, and media zones as permitted by the event. Directions for all of these areas will be provided in advance of the event. All media must follow safety instructions and wear required credentials at all times.

Yes. Interviews are typically available: During open service in the service park At parc expose or ceremonial starts Podium ceremonies Media should be respectful of team schedules and mechanical work periods. Some drivers may be unavailable during transit or service windows.

One must apply to be a drone operator at an ARA event. A complete application does not guarantee acceptance to be an operator. Follow this link to see how to apply, as well as the rules for drone operators: ARA Drone Policy

Unrestricted Media (Blue Vest) Designed for seasoned motorsports media professionals with extensive rally experience.  Permitted to work from any location that adheres to ARA policy on safety. Able to drive on the stages to access shooting locations. Unrestricted Media (Grey Vest) This is solely for media shooting directly for the series - same access as blue vest Restricted Media (Red Vest) Designed for media professionals with limited rally or motorsports media experience. Allowed to a number of specified locations listed in the event media information. Includes Parc Exposes, spectator areas, service, scrutineering, etc.  Cannot drive on the stage roads to access shooting locations. Need three ARA events of experience without issue to be considered for Unrestricted level.
